Refurbishment of the Aitanurmi playground
ParksKalajärviThe City of Espoo is about to start planning the refurbishment of the Aitanurmi playground in Vanhakartano.

Design
The aim is to improve the safety of the playground and to make it more attractive. Those playground equipment and furniture which are in bad shape will be replaced and the new playground equipment will be chosen based on the needs and wishes of children of all ages.
The plan should be completed by the end of 2026, and the refurbishment will be carried out in the oncoming years.
A survey has been published to allow residents to express their views and wishes regarding the playground. The survey (available in Finnish) will be open until Sunday 12th of April 2026 and can be found here(external link, opens in a new window).
Based on the answers, a draft plan will be drawn up, which will be available for review and comment on this same page. A report will also be prepared based on the survey results, explaining how the wishes have been taken into account in the planning.
After the review, the plan will be finalized and approved.
