The permitted building volume in the Otaniemi cultural environment is being updated to correspond to the current and potential floor area in the area. The permitted building volume will be reduced from 45,100 square metres of floor area to approximately 39,500 square metres of floor area. In other respects, the currently valid detailed plan will remain in force. The participation and assessment scheme and preparation material are available for public review 9.6–8.7.2025.

A phased amendment to a detailed plan means that only individual regulations or markings are changed in the existing detailed plan. The previous detailed plan remains in force in other respects.
