Park plan of Halkoranta waterfront walkway
ParksEspoonlahtiEspoo’s Public Works Department is preparing a park plan for the Halkoranta waterfront walkway, and the plan will concern part of the Halkoranta park area in Soukka.

The plan includes a waterfront walkway section as well as connecting it in the southern part to a waterfront walkway already existing in the Halkoranta park area. The plan also includes a viewing area for admiring the landscape. The viewing area will have social steps in the direction of the marine view.
There will also be a few bicycle parking spaces near the viewing area.
The route section will be alight.
The preparation of the draft park plan has taken into account the steep elevation variations of the area while also striving to spare as many of the trees in the are as possible. If necessary, replanting of trees will be carried out in the area.
The possible use of a pier located in the planning area will be decided on once the pier’s renovation possibilities have been determined.
The park area will have a road connection to the adjacent block no. 33124.

It is possible to comment on the content of the draft plan via the otakantaa.fi website 13.5.-26.5.2024.
Schedule
Implementation start schedule for the site is 2026.
