Local detailed plansMatinkyläThe local detailed plan for the site of the former riding stables in Matinkylä is being updated so that riding activities can resume in the area. At the same time, the movement corridors for the flying squirrels in the area will be assessed. The plan is expected to proceed to the proposal stage in spring 2027.

Summary
Stables for horses, an indoor riding arena and an associated outdoor riding arena, as well as paddocks, are to be built on the site.The main intended use of the area will remain unchanged, but the local detailed plan will reorganise the various functions, thereby enabling the construction of the stable.The habitats and movement corridors of flying squirrels are being taken into account in the planning process.
