Läksyportti underpass
Streets and trafficEspoonlahtiLäksyportti underpass renovation affects traffic arrangements in Espoonlahti. The Soukanväylä bridge crossing the Läksyportti pedestrian and cycle path will be replaced. During the construction work, the road will only have one lane in each direction and there will also be other temporary traffic arrangements in the area.

Project description
The old tubular steel underpass structure of Läksyportti will be demolished and replaced with cantilever slab bridges made of reinforced concrete. In addition to the bridge work, there construction will include new park paths linked to Soukanväylä and the underpass, landscaping and planted trees. The project also includes the installation and construction of water supply and sewer pipes, district heating pipes and other technical networks as well as stone and asphalt works. The lighting in the area will also be replaced.
Key stages of traffic arrangements
Separate traffic management plans have been prepared for traffic arrangements during the construction work (such as maps for pedestrian and cycling diversion routes).
In the first stage, the bridge on the eastern side of the site will be built, and traffic will be directed to the western side of the bridge.
In the second stage, work will be done on the western bridge, and traffic will be diverted to the bridge that was built in the first stage.
