Planning progression:
An administrative park plan, i.e. a general plan, was already prepared for the park in 2018 and can be found as an attachment on this page.
At the beginning of the construction planning, an online survey was conducted where residents were asked to comment on the location of the playground presented in the park plan and the playground equipment. The survey was open on the website between 20 October and 9 November 2021. A report on the results of the survey (in Finnish) can be found at the bottom of this page under downloadable files.
Based on the feedback, the Public Works Department decided to switch the locations of the planned game arena and the playground with each other, since locating the playground next to the school recess area was regarded as unfavourable.
As a result of the relocation, the name of the playground changed to Kirkkosillanpuisto playground. (Previously the name was Lakelanpuisto playground). The playground will be realised in accordance with the Espoo Playground Programme 2016–2026.
The draft of the construction plan was available to view and comment on the webpage between 16.3. – 30.3. No comments were received on the draft plan and the final construction plan follows the principles of the draft. The draft plan can be found on this page under “downloadable files”.
