The picture shows paved paths, a riverbed, three apartment buildings, a dark retaining wall, orange azaleas and other green plants.
The orange blooms of the azaleas complement the bold colours of the bridge, benches and facade. The dark retaining walls, bark cover and Weigela Red Prince plants create contrast. There are rotating chairs around the chess tables.Photo: Kristiina Torikka, City of Espoo

The winding stream and its banks form a green backbone for the still-developing urban area. So far, the first office building and parking facility have been completed around the park. The bridges, wooden patios and paved areas around the edges provide access to the water. The park features pylons and information boards that descibe Monikonpuro, Hatsinanpuisto park, the water bodies within the city and the trout that spawn in the area.

Hatsinanpuisto won the Environmental Structure of the Year competition in 2024.
