Halkoranta waterfront walkway

The construction project concerns the construction of a waterfront walkway in the northern part of Halkoranta and a driveway from Soukan rantatie to the plot, to the extent that the driveway is located on the park’s side. The southern part of the waterfront walkway’s new section will connect to the existing waterfront walkway in Halkoranta, circle around the narrow park located by the shore area of the plot and connect to Soukan rantatie in the northern side of the plot.

The walkway will be embanked and supported with stone-filled gabion structures. The walkway will be accessible and illuminated. The halfway of the walkway to be built will have a small resting place and a stairway leading to the waterfront for recreational purposes. The northernmost section of the walkway near Soukan rantatie will run along the driveway to the plot, and a concrete retaining wall will be built on the seaward side of the path.

The work will occasionally affect the traffic arrangements on Soukan rantatie. The work may also cause noise, especially during the construction of trench support.
