Background information
The aim of the plan amendment is to promote cycling in the Ring I corridor. The plan amendment is part of a wider network of cycling routes aimed at improving the flow and prerequisites of cycling.
Cycling routes, i.e. high-quality cycling corridors, are the most significant parts of the main cycling routes. The corridors are arterial routes that serve long-distance and high-speed cycling. Railway, motorway and green corridors are often favoured in corridor policies.
