Construction of Rantatie and Rantakulma

Rantatie and Rantakulma will be built into streets that follow the detailed plan.

Vegetation will be removed to the extent required by the construction. A sidewalk will be built on the northern side of Rantatie and a parking area will be built east of the intersection of Pitkäjärvenranta and Rantatie. A parking area will also be built on the Rantatie cross street at Rantakulma.

The structural street layers will be replaced to correspond to the current regulations. The water supply, wastewater sewer and lighting will be replaced. The construction of the water supply requires sheeting (installation of support walls in the excavation) between the intersection of Pitkäjärvenranta and Rantatie and the intersection of Kulmatie and Tammipääntie. The purpose of the walls is to prevent the soil from collapsing into the excavation. A stormwater drain will be constructed to dry the street. The streets will be asphalted, kerbs will be installed and the rest of the street area will be finished with turfing and plantings.
