Project description
The City of Espoo will order the construction of the Hakjärventie water supply lines i.e. the water pipe and the sewer. In order to implement the water supply, under-road drilling will be implemented at the Nuuksiontie road. A temporary roadway will be built for the duration of the work. The current street lighting, including poles and bases, will be dismantled. They will be replaced with new lamp posts. The carrying capacity of the site’s soil will be reinforced with column stabilisation for a distance of about 65 metres, starting from the western end of the street. This is done in order to prevent the harmful depressions of streets and pipes. In column stabilisation, the soil is reinforced by drilling lime and cement into the soil; they will form columns within the soil, thus reinforcing it. The surface structures and lateral ditches on the site will be restored after the construction work. The contract also includes the installation of casing for electric and communications cables.
West of the site are located the junction of the roads Hakjärventie, Nuuksiontie and Nuuksionkuja and the parking area of the Nuuksio recreation hut. East of the site is located the junction of Siltaniitynlaita and Burmanintie.
