Roof repairs start at Espoo Cultural Centre
A roof repair project will begin in early October 2026 at the Espoo Cultural Centre (address: Kulttuuriaukio 2), during which part of the building’s roof and ceiling will be repaired. The project is expected to last until the end of spring 2027. The repairs may occasionally affect operations and access routes at Tapiola Library and in the Cultural Centre’s lobby areas.
During the project, the Cultural Centre’s roof and roof drains will be repaired in five phases. Inside the building, the ceiling will be repaired as needed in areas damaged by water.
The roof will be covered with a temporary weather-protection structure, which may affect drop-off and pick-up traffic and pedestrian and cycling routes on the Cultural Centre property.
The contractor is Viherio Oy, and the preliminary cost estimate for the repairs is about EUR 0.5 million.
