Espoo tutuksi – a newsletter in easy Finnish
Espoo tutuksi is an easy-to-read newsletter for new Espoo residents. It is well suited to learners of the Finnish language, for example.
The newsletter offers tips on everyday life, hobbies, events and opportunities to participate in Espoo. It also tells new residents about the city’s activities.
The idea to create an easy-to-read newsletter came from immigrants in Espoo. In 2025, we carried out a survey in which foreign-language speakers expressed a desire for news in easy Finnish.
You can read the first newsletter soon, in early November. From then on, we will send the Espoo tutuksi newsletter four times a year.

This is an experiment by the City of Espoo. Based on the results, we will assess the possibility of producing a similar newsletter in Swedish.
