City of Espoo’s cooperation negotiations have ended

On 10 August 2026, the City Board decided to initiate cooperation negotiations concerning all city employees as part of the city’s budget-balancing efforts. The final negotiation meeting took place today, 14 October 2026, and the negotiations have now ended.
The cooperation negotiations ended without an agreement. During the negotiations, the parties succeeded in lowering the estimated number of staff reductions. Staff will be informed of the situation on 19 October, and we will share further information more widely at a later date.
