Notice to beach users.

Laaksolahti Beach will close on Friday 24th of July 2026, at 6:00 PM. Lifeguard supervision will end at the same time, and there will be no lifeguard services at the beach after that. Lifeguard supervision has been discontinued due to extensive blue-green algae growth.

Environmental Health Services of the Espoo region monitors the blue-green algae situation at the beach. Up-to-date information on blue-green algae at Laaksolahti and other official beaches in Espoo can be found on the ulkoliikunta.fi(external link, opens in a new window) website. The algae situation can change quickly, so we recommend that you always also check the conditions on site. Instructions for identifying blue-green algae are also posted on the beach notice board.
