New basketball court to open in Laaksolahti Sports Park

The basketball court in the Sports Park was built on a Bergo surface, with permeable asphalt underneath it. This structure means that rainwater will drain through the court surface quickly.

Two different forms of the game can be played on the new basketball court: the traditional 5-on-5 game with two baskets, and a 3-on-3 game with a single basket in the yellow areas. Both courts were built to official dimensions. Shelden 'dunking' hoops suitable for outdoor use, which have not been previously installed in Finland, were selected for the court.
