Jarno Limnéll is the new chairperson of the City Council

At the beginning of the City Council meeting, the Tapiola Sinfonietta’s wind quartet performed the Espoo City Council Fanfare, which was dedicated to the City Council in 1980.

The City Council elected new chairpersons for the period between 8 June 2026 and 31 May 2027: Jarno Limnéll (National Coalition Party) as chairperson of the City Council, Maria Guzenina (Social Democratic Party) as the first vice-chairperson, Saara Hyrkkö (Greens) as the second vice-chairperson and Simo Grönroos (Finns Party) as the third vice-chairperson.

City Council
