Survey for Espoo residents: help develop school admissions in Finnish-language basic education and weighted-curriculum education

6.5.2026 12.02Updated: 7.5.2026 5.28

Espoo's Finnish-language basic education is working to develop the principles of school admissions and the organisation of weighted-curriculum education. To support the development work, we are collecting the experiences and views of residents in a short survey.

The survey covers the following themes:

  • current school admissions policies
  • weighted-curriculum education
  • prevention of segregation between schools by means of school admissions

Responding to the survey will take about 5 to 10 minutes. The responses will be processed anonymously, and it will not be possible to identify individual respondents. The survey results will be utilised in the development of school admissions for Finnish-language basic education in Espoo. The Espoo Board for Growth and Learning will decide on the practices for school admissions in basic education in autumn 2026.

We hope that as many Espoo residents as possible will respond to the survey.

Respond to the survey during the period 7 May – 21 May 2026.

Thank you very much for your time and valuable feedback.

Sincerely,
City of Espoo
