The product range of Espoo’s Asiointi.fi service is expanding
Since 2024, residents, construction companies and authorities have been able to request the materials that they need, such as construction drawings, soil survey data and ground, construction and population maps, through Espoo's digital sales and distribution platform. The selection of maps has been expanded, and it now includes product packages tailored for builders and estate agents.
More varied selection of maps
Most of the paid maps produced by the City of Espoo are now available for purchase through the Asiointi.fi Kauppa service. Previously, only base maps, soil data and construction data could be purchased through the service, but the selection now also includes cable maps, effective detailed plans in PDF and DWG format, point cloud data and aerial photographs. The service can also be used to request site information, such as a plot boundary or other terrain view related to a site within the area covered by the detailed plan.
Material packages to help builders and estate agents
One of our most popular products is the so-called “builder’s package”, which consists of map data in DWG format for construction permits. Certificates of title and cadastral certificates can also be purchased through the service.
A separate “estate agent's package” has been created, and it contains the most common products ordered by estate agents.
Variation in delivery times
Currently, while some orders are processed automatically by the system, certain products still require manual processing by an employee. Products that are processed automatically will be delivered to the customer immediately. The delivery time for products that require manual processing is 3–5 working days.
The plan is to develop the service in the future so that a larger share will be processed automatically. There is also a plan to transfer orders related to the city's own projects to the system. The system will handle invoicing automatically for all products already during the order stage. Street plans can still be downloaded from the service free of charge.
For the time being, the previous service channels – karttatilaus@espoo.fi and kaupunkimittaus@espoo.fi – will continue to operate alongside the Asiointi.fi service.
Asiointi.fi Kauppa serves customers in a versatile manner, and the service is also available in Swedish and English. The new platform will also be connected to the city’s feedback service.
