Various KAMU Pride events will take place at the museums of KAMU Espoo City Museum during May and June.

We will start the series of events on Sunday 17.5. at the Glims Farmstead Museum, where we will explore folk traditions through a queer lens. Glims will also host the traditional Rainbow Family Picnic on Saturday 13 June from 11 am to 5 pm.

At the Villa Museum Villa Rulludd, on Sunday 7 June 2026 from 11 am to 3 pm, we will highlight the work of author Christer Kihlman. Queer literature and related themes will also be discussed in a literary conversation with researcher Mikko Carlson at KAMU WeeGee on Wednesday 3 June 2026 from 5 pm to 6 pm.

A free outdoor concert will also take place in the courtyard of WeeGee, featuring Modem, inspired by 1980s synth-pop, and hyperpop artist Sattalite on Thursday 11 June from 5 pm to 7 pm. Visitors to KAMU WeeGee will also get a sneak peek at our expanded premises before the construction of the new permanent exhibition begins, when the collective Qoomikot-kollektiivi presents a queer stand-up show on Wednesday 17 June 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Throughout June, visitors to the archipelago museum Pentala can contribute to a collaborative artwork creating a shoal of fish shining in all the colours of the rainbow. You can also craft rainbow fans at KAMU WeeGee on Sunday 7.6.

The City of Espoo is a Working With Pride partner of Helsinki Pride in 2026.
