The City of Espoo is Helsinki Pride’s Working with Pride partner in 2026
This is Espoo’s fourth year as an official partner of Helsinki Pride. You are all invited to our events to celebrate diversity, equality and non-discrimination.
The City of Espoo continues its important work to promote diversity, equality and non-discrimination as one of Helsinki Pride’s Working with Pride partners in 2026.
“In line with the City of Espoo’s strategy and values, we aim to promote safe and inclusive workplaces that support wellbeing and where everyone can be themselves and feel a sense of belonging. We are committed to promoting equality and non-discrimination and to ensuring they are put into practice,” says Mayor Kai Mykkänen.
This year, the City of Espoo continues to develop and maintain its employees’ own Pride network. Through the network, we can have an even stronger impact and help build Espoo into a city that is safe, open to all and where everyone is free to be themselves.
Events across the city
Our partnership with Helsinki Pride will be visible in LGBTQ-themed events across Espoo. We will celebrate the promotion of human rights and equality through events in libraries, cultural venues and museums. Explore the programme here: Pride events in Espoo.
Pride Month, celebrated in June, culminates in Helsinki Pride Week from 22 to 28 June 2026. The Pride Parade will take place on Saturday 27 June and will also be attended by City of Espoo staff.
The Working With Pride partnership continues until 31 December 2026.
