Parking discount for electric vehicles ends in Espoo on 19 April 2026

On 2 March 2026, the City Board approved the principles for expanding paid parking and the new boundaries for paid parking zones in Espoo. At the same time, it decided to end the 50% parking fee discount for fully electric vehicles. The discount will be phased out, with the last discount day being 19 April 2026.

Following the City Board’s decision on the principles for paid parking, work on comprehensive plans, including traffic signs, has started. Paid parking will be introduced in phases as the plans are completed and the corresponding traffic signs are installed on site. This is expected to take place gradually during the summer and autumn of 2026.
