Espoo Region Environmental Health Services carried out a planned inspection in accordance with the Health Protection Act at Matinkylä swimming pool on 14 April 2026. The issues assessed during the inspection included the functioning of the water treatment process, the general level of hygiene, and indoor air conditions.
Based on the inspection, the quality of the pool water is good. Based on observations, the changing rooms, washing facilities, and pool areas are generally clean, and the quality of cleaning is also ensured through regular surface hygiene samples. Based on observations, no abnormalities, such as odours, moisture or mist, were detected in the indoor air of the pool areas.
The functioning of the ventilation system was also examined using a smoke test on 14 April 2026. We are waiting for the results of the test commissioned by the Premises Department, as well as any proposed measures, and will communicate about these at a later date.
