Morning, afternoon and holiday care services for children with intellectual disabilities and autism continue in school year 2026–2027
The everyday support provided for children with intellectual disabilities and autism will remain unchanged during the school year 2026–2027. Morning, afternoon and holiday care will continue as usual. The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County and the municipalities are preparing a permanent model for providing the service.
The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County and the municipalities have agreed that morning and afternoon care for children with intellectual disabilities and autism will continue unchanged in the school year 2026–2027. Holiday care will also remain unchanged.
The wellbeing services county and the municipalities are preparing a permanent agreement model from the school year 2027–2028 onwards. During the preparation, any new national guidelines on the responsibility for providing the service will be taken into consideration.
Guardians can enrol their children in morning and afternoon care as usual. In Espoo, the enrolment period for morning and afternoon care in the school year 2026–2027 is 15–29 April 2026. Enrolment is done on Wilma. If necessary, the paper form is available on the espoo.fi website under Forms and instructions. The updated forms will be added to Wilma and the city website as soon as possible, at the latest when the enrolment period starts.
