Nordic Esports Sustainability Summit brings international experts to Espoo

The summit is hosted by the City of Espoo and brings together international experts to discuss the sustainable development of esports. The programme focuses on accessibility, well-being and social inclusion, which are increasingly central as esports evolves within the broader sport, youth and cultural ecosystem.
The session will be opened by Susanna Tommila, Cultural Director of the City of Espoo, followed by greetings from the Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity, Mika Poutala, after which Vlad Marinescu, President of the International Esports Federation, will set the stage by exploring the future of esports from a global perspective.
The Nordic Esports Sustainability Summit will be held as an invitation-only event, but the keynote presentations can be followed online via a live webinar on the day of the event from 10:00 to 12:45 (EET).

The summit is organized as part of the Espoo’s Esports Hobby Path project, which aims to create the conditions for the growth of organized grassroots esports activities. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture under the Suomi liikkeelle Programme.
