Nella Paakkolanvaara appointed as new Director of Finance and Administration in the Growth and Learning Sector
Nella Paakkolanvaara (Master of Social Sciences) has been appointed to the permanent position of Director of Finance and Administration in the City of Espoo’s Growth and Learning Sector.
Paakkolanvaara has served as CFO and Administrative Director at the Association of Finnish Pharmacies since 2022. Previously, she worked as the Financial and Administrative Director of HelsinkiMissio, and she has also had a long career in various ministries.
Paakkolanvaara will report to Deputy Mayor for Growth and Learning Merja Narvo-Akkola and serve as a member of the sector’s management team.
Paakkolanvaara will take office on 16 March 2026.
The Growth and Learning Sector is comprised of the Sector Management and the following units: Finnish Early Childhood Education, Finnish Basic Education, Finnish Upper Secondary Education and Youth Services, and Swedish Education and Cultural Services.
