The City of Espoo’s first employer value proposition is crystallised in the following words: Pioneering Espoo, courage to innovate and ability to develop.

The employer value proposition gives us, as city employees, direction and reminds us that in Espoo everyone’s work is valuable. It serves as a guiding principle for all employer communications, both internally and externally.

A large number of city managers and employees from different units took part in the preparation of the employer value proposition. While formulating the employer value proposition, we also made use of strategy and brand materials, the results of the internal and external employer image survey conducted in 2024, and our sectors’ competitor analyses.

Our employer value proposition aims to strengthen the City of Espoo’s attractiveness as an employer.
