Entrepreneurs in Espoo have enthusiastically received free recruitment assistance from the city. Many have been positively surprised by the diversity of talents available through Employment Services.

During this autumn, the Employment Services of Espoo have visited companies for the purpose of listening to their needs and finding out what their recruitment and other needs are. The response has been very positive.

“The companies have welcomed us warmly. The discussions have been open and many were positively surprised that the city provides free and personal help for recruitment,” says Arja Kukkonen, Service Manager.

Real help for recruitment

By visiting companies, Espoo’s Employment Services have received plenty of recruitment assignments, and companies have also revealed hidden jobs. Employment Services have looked for potential candidates, and they have often managed to find a suitable employee quickly.
“Employers have been delighted by how many talents are available through Employment Services,” says Kukkonen.

Companies have also been interested in the possibility of using apprenticeship agreements to develop competence and hire new employees. Entrepreneurs are also interested in financial support for employment.

“It has been great to notice that even in this challenging economic situation, entrepreneurs still have faith in the future and a willingness to hire,” Kukkonen says.
