The program for the Nature Forum 2025, which will take place at Dipoli in Espoo on September 5th, has now been published and registration is open! The forum invites decision-makers, cities, and representatives of business, research and civil society to talk about how we can make nature flourish.

The program features inspiring expert talks, topical discussions, and concrete examples of how nature can be strengthened through both largeer and smaller actions. In the afternoon, participants can choose from parallel sessions that allow for a deeper dive into the topics that interest them most. Throughout the day, an exhibition area will showcase some of the most intriguing nature-positive initiatives from across Finland.

The keynote speech will be given by Cecil Konijnendijk, Director of the Nature-Based Solutions Institute in the Netherlands. With over 30 years of experience in urban nature and nature-based solutions, Konijnendijk is perhaps best known for his 3+30+300 rule. This principle aims to make the health benefits of nature and other ecosystem services accessible to city dwellers by ensuring that every home has a view of at least three trees, each neighborhood has at least 30% tree canopy cover, and everyone lives within 300 meters of a green space.

Nature Forum 2025 is a collaborative effort. Thus, the parallel sessions will be led by top experts in their fields. Aalto University and the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) will host a session on nature-smart urban development, especially in growing cities. Sitra and the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) will explore the connections between nature and well-being. CLC (Climate Leadership Coalition) and the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities will focus on developing nature value markets in cooperation with municipalities and businesses, while VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland) will present cutting-edge innovations for halting biodiversity loss.

Would you like to be part of discovering new solutions, shaping a nature-inclusive economy, and networking with the partners who can help turn ideas into action? At Nature Forum, you'll find your place on the path toward nature positivity.
