Employment Subcommittee appoints TYM management group – goal is smooth cooperation between authorities

At its meeting on 19 May 2025, the Employment Subcommittee of the Espoo City Board appointed a TYM management group. The task of the management group is to lead and support multi-sectoral cooperation that promotes employment between the City of Espoo, the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County and Kela.
The aim of the cooperation is to provide clients with smoother, better coordinated services that support employment, such as employment, social, health and rehabilitation services.
Members of the TYM management group
- Kirsi Aro (Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County), deputy member Tapio Nieminen
- Laura Luukkonen (Kela), deputy member Sanna-Kaisa Koivistoinen
- Henna Kaukonen-Nyholm (City of Espoo), deputy member Marianne Selin.
Henna Kaukonen-Nyholm will serve as Chairperson of the management group. The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County will appoint the Vice Chairperson.
In addition, the subcommittee received updates and briefings on, among other things:
- the employment situation in Espoo and Kauniainen
- legislation being prepared concerning the jobseeker service process and job placement services
- financial support related to employment services
- a forthcoming programme to promote youth employment.
