Culture Committee decisions, 20 May 2025
Vuoden kolmannessa kokouksessaan kulttuurilautakunta hyväksyi Espoon kaupunginmuseon uudet käyttöperiaatteet sekä myönsi taiteilija-apurahoja ja muita avustuksia kulttuuritoimijoille. Lautakunnalle esiteltiin vuoden 2025 talousarvion ja strategian osavuosikatsaus sekä KulttuuriEspoo 2030 -ohjelman raportti vuosilta 2021–2024.
Coworking space at Children’s Cultural Centre Aurora
The Culture Committee approved the fee charged for the use of the coworking space at the Children’s Cultural Centre Aurora. Cultural professionals can rent a desk in the coworking space at Aurora. The fee will enter into force on 1 August 2025.
Principles for the use of Espoo City Museum premises
The Culture Committee approved the principles for the use of the Espoo City Museum’s premises with effect from 1 June 2025. The principles define the practices related to space reservations and public events held at the City Museum, for example in terms of pricing and safety. The principles will be in force until further notice. The Culture Committee last decided on the terms of use for the Espoo City Museum’s premises at its meeting on 24 February 2015.
Three-month artist grants
The Culture Committee decided to award three-month artist grants to 21 applicants who represent nine different art forms. Grants were awarded to approximately 16% of the applicants.
Grants for cultural events, projects and development
The Culture Committee decided to award a total of EUR 25,000 in event and project grants to six applicants as well as a development grant of EUR 9,000 to Espoon elokuvajuhlat ry and EUR 20,000 to Touring Theatre Taimine.
Other matters
The Committee decided on other matters in accordance with the agenda.
