City Council elected new chairpersons

The new chairperson of the City Council is Saara Hyrkkö (Greens) and the new chairperson of the City Board is Mervi Katainen (National Coalition Party).

The City Council elected new chairpersons for the period between 9 June 2025 and 31 May 2026: Saara Hyrkkö (Greens) as chairperson of the City Council, Maria Guzenina (Social Democratic Party) as the first vice-chairperson, Jarno Limnéll (National Coalition Party) as the second vice-chairperson and Simo Grönroos (Finns Party) as the third vice-chairperson.

The chairperson of the City Board is Mervi Katainen (National Coalition Party), the first vice-chairperson is Henna Partanen (Greens) and the second vice-chairperson is Markku Sistonen (Social Democratic Party).
