Espoo was buzzing with music and a strong sense of community during the 1970s and 80s. Young people started new bands, danced at discos, and gathered to socialize. Feel the Noise - Rock and Youth Culture in Espoo Exhibition is open until November 1, 2026 at KAMU WeeGee.

The exhibition has been created in collaboration with many former and current young people from Espoo. A wide group of music enthusiasts and professionals from Espoo have also participated. The idea for the exhibition was initiated by the music association Chorus, which was founded at the end of the 1970s. The exhibition features stories from, among others, Markojuhani Rautavaara, Timo Vakkilainen, Janne and Olli Haavisto, Mikko Lankinen, Hans Etholén, Tuomas Nevanlinna, and Raine Salo. In addition, Sami Takamäki (Yaffa), Arto Tamminen, Susanna Haavisto, and the band PIM (in the picture) are also presented.

The exhibition is complemented by an extensive program. The events can be found in the event calendar.
