The City of Espoo will continue its work to promote equality and diversity as one of the Working With Pride partners of Helsinki Pride.

Helsinki Pride is Finland’s most impressive human rights and cultural event that brings people together and welcomes all the shades of the rainbow. Together with Helsinki Pride Community, we promote equality, also among personnel, and build a more open and safe Espoo for everyone.

“The partnership between the City of Espoo and Helsinki Pride Community is based on the mutual desire to promote equality and non-discrimination in society. Human rights belong to everyone – just like Espoo,” says Kai Mykkänen, Mayor.

In June, we will celebrate the promotion of human rights and equality through events around the city. The June celebrations of Pride Month will culminate in Helsinki Pride Week from 23 to 29 June 2025. The Pride Parade will be held on 28 June in Helsinki, and city personnel will also participate.

For residents, Espoo’s Working With Pride partnership will be particularly visible as events around the city. Pride events shining bright in all the colours of the rainbow will be held in Espoo’s libraries, cultural houses and museums.

Our Working With Pride partnership that will be concluded in May will continue until 31 December 2025.
