The spring festival of children’s culture welcomes people of all ages to join in the May Day festivities on 1 May from 14:00 to 17:00.

Vappusen viettoa vuonna 2022

The festival will kick off with Pikku Gubbe’s music club and an energetic exercise session. This year, the outdoor stage will be taken over by Maisteri Molto and Children’s Music Orchestra Ammuu! Fresh, inventive arrangements as well as skilful playing and harmonised singing are trademarks of the orchestra. The orchestra has mooed itself into the hearts of Finnish children and adults alike with its pedagogical expertise and highly skilled music performances. Maisteri Molto plays the clarinet, bass clarinet, tenor saxophone and recorder. The concert will be interactive so, in addition to listening, the audience will get to sing and create rhythms during the concert.

Rhythm instruments will be made from recycled materials in workshops, and even the youngest children will have the opportunity to intertwine fluffy caterpillars with playful funfair vibes. Taija Taika invites you to admire giant soap bubbles and conjures up soap foam for the little ones to marvel at. Face-painting, what a wonderful classic! Lilla-Millan Juhlat will create whimsical face-paintings for children.

The Art House invites the little ones to TaidePiiLO’s Baby’s Perspective art exhibition in the Aurinkosali hall. The youth exhibition in the KellariGalleria explores the impact of social media on our individual personas.
