Introducing: the clean-up station
In Espoo, you can take care of your local environment, either alone or together with friends, acquaintances or neighbours. To assist you with these efforts, we would like to introduce the clean-up station. Communities, schools, businesses and residents in Espoo can apply for a clean-up station to be placed in their neighbourhood.
Using the clean-up station is easy and convenient, as it houses the tools needed for cleaning up your neighbourhood, such as rubbish bags and litter grippers. The station also brings together local residents, fostering a sense of community and environmental responsibility. It serves as a reminder of the importance of keeping the environment clean.
The local community is responsible for maintaining the station. Community representatives notify the city about any issues related to the station, such as supply needs and maintenance. The City of Espoo is responsible for providing clean-up supplies and making necessary repairs. Residents are responsible for properly handling and disposing of litter.
