Employment Subcommittee of Espoo and Kauniainen held its first meeting

The City Board’s Employment Subcommittee decided on its meeting dates for 2025–26.

Meetings will be held on 19 May, 8 September, and 8 December 2025, as well as on 23 February, 8 June, 14 September, and 30 November 2026. Exact meeting times are available in the minutes, which will be published online after review.
 

The subcommittee received reports on the following topics:

  • the responsibilities of the Employment Subcommittee and the cooperation agreement between Espoo and Kauniainen regarding the formation of the employment area and a joint governing body
  • the current employment situation
  • the transfer and current status of employment services
  • the Employment Unit’s budget allocation scheme for 2025.

In addition, the committee held a preliminary debate on the draft strategy for employment services.
