Culture Committee decisions, 11 March 2025
At its second meeting of the year, the Culture Committee approved, among other things, the updated principles for the use of Espoo City Library’s premises and awarded a total of EUR 34,400 in event, project and development grants.
Principles for the use of Espoo City Library’s premises
The Culture Committee decided to approve the updated principles for the use of Espoo City Library’s premises with effect from 1 April 2025. The principles define the practices related to space reservations and public events at libraries, for example in terms of pricing and safety. The principles will be in force until further notice. The Culture Committee last decided on the terms of use for Espoo City Library’s premises at its meeting on 24 February 2015.
Tapiola Sinfonietta’s ticket prices
The Culture Committee approved the types and prices of tickets for the concerts of the Espoo City Orchestra Tapiola Sinfonietta with effect from the 2025–2026 season.
Cultural event, project and development grants
The Culture Committee decided to award a total of EUR 28,400 in event and project grants to eight applicants as well as a development grant of EUR 6,000 to Espoon Kuvataiteilijat ry.
