Procurements for the new year

The winter holiday week is already on everyone’s mind, even though the weather is far from wintry, at least at the time of writing this. Once the long period of darkness ends with the spectacularly bright winter days in February and March, city residents wake up from their stupor and begin engaging in various outdoor activities. At the same time, the campfire sites maintained by the City of Espoo's sports department along the outdoor trails begin to fill up with visitors. Have you ever realised that even the firewood for the campfire sites is procured through competitive bidding? The invitation to tender for purchasing firewood will be published during the spring, so that local residents can continue to enjoy their campfire sausages.

Many also have various fitness goals for the new year: running a marathon, losing ten kilos, getting a beach body for the summer, or simply getting into the habit of going to the gym every once in a while. As such, the City of Espoo intends to support physical activity as a hobby in every way, as the plans include the purchase of gym and rehabilitation equipment for the city-maintained exercise, sports, gym and rehabilitation facilities. In order to ensure the safety of the locations offering exercise, sports, gym and rehabilitation services, an invitation to tender for the procurement of fire stop works has just been published. The works will also cover day care centres, schools, offices, libraries, health centres and other city buildings. The purpose of a fire stop is to prevent the propagation of fire, smoke and flue gases in the event of a fire, which is why we are happy to accept offers from professional companies.

In addition to these, the City of Espoo has many upcoming acquisitions, including teaching and activity equipment as well as school and craft supplies, stakeholder and trade fair gifts, commissioned training for early childhood education personnel, intensive individual and group coaching for Espoo's young adults, translation services, meeting services in the surrounding areas, marketing materials, small print projects, and meat, fish, fruits and vegetables.
