Ystäväluistelu, Espoo's annual skating event, has become a unique tradition of the city combining skating and live music at the Tapiola Ice Garden on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 16-19.
Tapiola Sinfonietta will perform a film music themed concert from the Cultural Centre’s Tapiola Hall with singer Saara Aalto, conducted by Marjo Riihimäki. The concert will be streamed live to the Ice Garden providing a wonderful setting for skating on a beautiful winter’s eve. The audience at the Cultural Centre will see atmospheric bits streamed from the skating rink.
The event is hosted by Susani Mahadura and Ilkka Uusivuori.
The program at the Ice Garden will start at 4 pm with skating shows. After the skating shows (around 4:30 pm), the ice rink is open to everyone. Admission to the Ice Garden is free.
Tapiola Sinfonietta's concert starts at the Tapiola Hall at around 4:30 pm (duration approx. 60 75 minutes). Tickets to the Tapiola Hall concert are on sale online at the lippu.fi webshop(external link, opens in a new window) (tickets €6 + order fee (from €1,50 + 0,65% of the order).
Café Hile and two food trucks are open in the Ice Garden during the event.
