At its last meeting of the year, the Culture Committee decided, among other things, on the recipient of the working grant for professional artists for 2025. The grant was awarded to visual artist Saana Wang.
Working grant for professional artists for 2025
The working grant for professional artists is awarded based on applications to one Espoo-based professional artist for one year at a time. Professional artists living in Espoo can apply for the grant, regardless of their art form. The Culture Committee decided to award the working grant for professional artists for 2025, a sum of EUR 2,196.30 per month, to visual artist Saana Wang.
Annual grants for Espoo-based providers of basic education in the arts, local heritage and cultural associations and professional art and cultural communities for 2025
The Culture Committee decided to award operating and rental grants for 2025 in accordance with the proposal as follows: EUR 4,790,273 to providers of basic education in the arts; EUR 128,500 to local heritage associations; EUR 268,700 to art and cultural associations; and a total of EUR 11,837,785 to professional art and cultural communities.
Cultural Unit’s price list as of 1 January 2025
The Culture Committee approved the Cultural Unit’s price list that is effective as of 1 January 2025. The price list applies to three service areas under the Cultural Unit: City Library, Cultural Venues and Services, and City Museum. It includes the fees charged for using the City Library’s meeting rooms and the city’s cultural venues, as well as the City Museum’s service fees.
