On Thursday, 7 November 2024, President Sauli Niinistö visited the Tapiola Upper Secondary School as part of its Wellbeing Week. Planned and implemented by students, the event in the school’s auditorium was the highlight of the autumn term. True to the week’s theme, the discussion avoided politics and centred instead on wellbeing – at times serious, and at other times light-hearted and humorous. President Niinistö’s good cheer was infectious, creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere. We thank President Sauli Niinistö for visiting Tapiola Upper Secondary School.

The cheerful President Niinistö created a warm atmosphere for the occasion with his caring and relaxed demeanour.
President Niinistö was escorted to the auditorium by the school’s “security team”: students Pyry Piirta, Riine Maarni, Helmeri Haapanen and Samuel Haggren.
The President engaged in discussions about wellbeing with Veera Saario (left), representative of the school’s athletics club Viesti, Rodion Gerasimov, tutor student, and Kaapo Levomäki, chairman of the student union.
The event was hosted by tutor student Roosa Ritala (left) and Tea Ala-Laurila from the school’s athletics club Viesti.
The event was planned and implemented by the students, including the board of the student union, the tutors and the Viesti athletics club.
Music for the event was provided by students of the upper secondary school for music. Alma Parry and Joel Schwarz interpreted Bob Dylan’s song Blowin’ in the Wind.
Many thanks to President Niinistö for visiting the school!
