Changes to temporary routes in Tapiola 25th November 2024

The entrance and exit of the Tapiola metro station and bus terminal at the Itätuulenkuja street level (elevator level U) will be closed on Monday 25 November 2024. The entrance/exit is located on the same side of the terminal as bus platforms 10 and 11 (Helsinki-bound buses), near Helmakuja.

The deck-level route to Helmakuja (elevator level 1) will remain available, providing access to the Ainoa shopping centre and other pedestrian routes in Tapiola. The other terminal entrances and exits will also remain available. For those coming from the direction of Tapiolantie, the most direct route to the terminal runs from the Itätuulenkuja bend to Merituulentie where there is a steel ramp up to the deck level. Pedestrians coming from Tuulimäki can access the terminal and the Ainoa shopping centre through the deck level. The Itätuulenkuja pedestrian route will be closed because of the construction of a concrete deck. Pedestrians cannot walk through the construction site. We estimate that the area will be closed until May 2025.

Once the concrete deck is completed, the pedestrian routes above the street level can be reopened. Tuulikinsilta, located at the eastern end of the area, was already completed earlier this autumn.
