Respond to the library's survey!

The library is a service for literature, learning, community, and culture. This service is offered free of charge and with great commitment, both in public spaces and online. We want to know what community members think about library services! Therefore, we are opening a survey.

In the development of library services, adults over 30 will be taken into greater consideration during the strategic period 2024–2030. The library is improving its facilities to make them more functional and attractive. In the coming year, we will focus on examining and developing the use of the facilities from the perspective of residents' well-being and the vitality of the city of Espoo.

The goal is to investigate how the use and accessibility of the library's facilities affect customers, residents, and stakeholders, as well as the city's vitality. The survey will also ask about all of the library's services.

Methods for service design and participation will be utilized in the development. The results from the survey and interviews will serve as the basis for defining development areas in the library's action plan. The first trials are planned to start in spring 2025. Based on the material, development areas will be defined in the action plan so that the first trial can begin in winter 2024–2025.

The project's results will be communicated on the esbo.fi website and the library's social media channels. In implemented services or actions, the library's customer wish symbol will be used.

The library's work as a service for all community members continues every day. In recent years, the library has particularly developed services for children and young people. Based on borrowing statistics, for example, the acquisition of children's literature has increased, and the results are excellent. Even in this new phase of development, we are looking for effective and useful services for community members.
