Register as exercise game producer for Exercise Through Games project – Survey now open
The application period for exercise game producers for the Exercise Through Games (Liikettä peleistä) project is open from 23 September to 4 October 2024 until 16.00.
The Exercise Through Games project is about experimenting with different digital exercise game solutions at day care centres, comprehensive schools and upper secondary schools. The solutions encourage pupils and students to be physically active by utilising play and gamification.
The purpose of the search for exercise game producers now organised in the context of the Exercise Through Games project is to survey service providers that produce solutions and services for exercise games. Through this survey, we can determine in more detail what kinds of solutions could be utilised at day care centres, schools or upper secondary schools, as well as what kind of framework the different solutions require. Experiments will be carried out on the basis of the needs of the day care centres, comprehensive schools and upper secondary schools, in cooperation with the selected producers. This producer search does not yet lead to any selections.
The objective of the Exercise Through Games project is to:
- Increase the physical activity of children and young people and support the development of their motor skills by combining the beneficial and entertaining aspects of exercise games.
- Create more tools with which Espoo’s early childhood education, basic education and secondary education units can make the everyday life of children and young people more active.
The implementation period of the project is 1 September 2024–31 December 2025. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture’s programme Get Finland Moving, which awards grants to pilot and innovation projects aimed at increasing physical activity. The aim is to promote the cross-administrative development of a physically active lifestyle and functional capacity in accordance with the Government Programme. Particular attention is paid to minimally physically active groups and the promotion of everyday physical activity.
