KAMU's Thousand Stories of Espoo exhibition is open for the last day on 6 October

There is still time to see the KAMU Espoo City Museum exhibition before it closes!
Everything comes to an end, and so does the KAMU Espoo City Museum's A thousand stories about Espoo exhibition. The exhibition will be open for the last day on 6 October. The exhibition opened in October 2013, so it has been open for almost 11 years. There is still time to see the exhibition before it closes!
A thousand stories about Espoo tells the story of Finland's second largest city in five different eras, in five different places: the Stone Age seal fishermen in Bosmalm, the medieval farmers in Mankby, the gentry and people in Alberga, the factory workers in Kauklahti and city life in the suburbs. The exhibition shows how Espoo was born, who the people of Espoo are and how Espoo became what it is today.
The last weekend of the exhibition will feature a rich programme of events:
Fri 4 October at 18.30-20.00
Club KAMU: Getting dressed in historical garb
Sat 5 October 11.00-17.00
Portrait Workshop
Sun 6 October at 12, 13 and 15
Guided tour: A Different Kind of Espoo
After the end of the exhibition A thousand stories about Espoo the renovation of the KAMU premises will begin. The renovated KAMU WeeGee will be a gathering place for different experiences of Espoo and the city, bringing current perspectives on the city, place and community into the discussion. The renovation of the KAMU WeeGee premises will take place in parts and will be completed in autumn 2026.
