Espoo Archipelago Day was held on 5 June 2024
Espoo Archipelago Day was held on Iso Vasikkasaari on Wednesday 5 June. Approximately 700 people visited the island during the day, enjoying beautiful weather and a wide range of physical activity.
Espoo’s archipelago boats started running at the beginning of June. On Espoo Archipelago Day, visitors were able to travel by boat for free.
The beautiful summer day offered an excellent setting for outdoor activities. Exercise sessions were held on the island’s big lawn area throughout the day.
Everyone interested had a chance to join a guided walk around the island and explore the beautiful nature and landscapes. The sauna was also open.
At OmaKamu ry’s stand, visitors got to try nature art.The Espoo liikkuu tent offered information on Espoo’s outdoor gym tour, summer exercise sessions, events and other sports services. During the day, participants could also borrow various types of sports equipment. Espoon Latu ja Polku ry organised activities for children, which were very popular among families.
