The Swedish indie pop band Agent Blå, who have just released a new album, will be coming to Finland for the first time o and will be performing at Kannusali alongside the Finnish opening act, Midsommaren.
The Gothenburg-based band is known for their dreamy soundscapes that blend post-punk and shoegaze influences. They have received international acclaim for their albums "Agent Blue" (2017), "Morning Thoughts" (2019), and their "Medium Rare" EP (2018). In 2020, they released the "Atopos" EP on Kanine Records.
Their third studio album, "STAB!", released this spring, is a significant milestone as the band took full control of the production process for the first time. This creative independence allowed for careful development of the tracks, resulting in a broader musical palette that includes influences from krautrock, instrumental, and psychedelia, while still maintaining their post-punk roots. The album was recorded in minimalist conditions at Studio Bella Figura in Gothenburg, contributing to its unique sound.
Founded in 2014, Agent Blå quickly made a name for themselves with their debut single "Strand," which had a significant impact on the indie scene. The band consists of Emelie Alatalo on vocals, Felix Skörvald on guitar and synthesizer, Lucas Gustavsson on guitar, Sebastian Falk on bass, Arvid Christensen on drums, and Tobias Bauer on keyboards, guitar, and percussion.
"STAB!" was released through VÅRØ RECORDS in April in Europe and through Kanine Records worldwide, showcasing the band's evolution and cementing their position in the indie music scene.
