Young influencer panel involved in developing Kannusali
Kannusali has been working with a panel of four young individuals throughout spring 2024. These young people, aged 16 to 25 and residing in the Greater Helsinki area, have actively contributed to brainstorming ideas for improving Kannusali's services and content.
The panel was selected through an open application process earlier in the year. The young participants have attended Kannusali's events and provided feedback based on their observations. The goal of the panel's work was also to offer young people the opportunity to influence their own environment. Discussions have included topics such as which channels to use for visibility and what types of concerts or other content interest young audiences.
"Collaborating with the influencer panel has been incredibly rewarding. The feedback from the young individuals is extremely valuable: we aim to listen to them and create something that genuinely resonates," rejoices Lani Nordlund, production manager at Kannusali.
Kannusali has been praised for its rustic coziness and excellent service, reflected in the panel's perspectives. Particularly, commendations were given for good transportation connections, customer service, and the relaxed open lounge area at Kannusali, where visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Areas for improvement were identified, such as better describing the venue's unique environment to potential audiences.
Panel members shared that the experience was positive: for active event-goers, it was meaningful to share thoughts and make an impact.
In addition to implementing the influencer panel's suggestions, Kannusali intends to continue keeping an open dialogue with young people. Feedback will be collected through Kannusali's social media channels. The aim is for young individuals to take ownership of the space and its cultural services, as there is a sizable young population in Espoo Center. Moving forward, there will still be diverse program offerings for all ages, with a new focus on better serving young audiences as well, based on the suggestions received.
