No Rules! – Windows95man’s homecoming concert in Espoo on 31 May
Finland’s Eurovision representative, Windows95man, will celebrate his homecoming by performing in his hometown of Espoo. The concert will be held at the Vaakunatori square in Espoon keskus on Friday 31 May.
“This is Finland! Get over here!” says Windows95man and invites everyone to his fun-filled concert in Espoo.
Windows95man, the alter ego of Teemu Keisteri, and singer Henri Piispanen represented Finland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest held in Malmö, Sweden. Their song was called “No Rules!”. An orchestral version of the song created together with the Tapiola Sinfonietta(external link, opens in a new window) was also released before the contest.
Spreading a message of joy and freedom, the song has delighted people around the world. “No Rules” has been Windows95man’s guiding principle throughout his career as an artist. It is a protest against grey daily life in which higher authorities dictate what is “normal” and how you should live your life, what you should look like, who you can love and how you should behave.
“In the spirit of Windows95man’s attitude, we want to bring joy to people and promote inclusion and togetherness by offering this family-friendly event,” says Cultural Director Susanna Tommila.
The event organised by the City of Espoo is free and suitable for all ages. Vaakunatori is located right next to the Espoo railway station and also close to several bus stops. To prevent congestion and emissions, we recommend that you use public transport.
